Marco Schürg is an accomplished professional in the field of additive manufacturing and engineering, with extensive experience at EOS since November 2017 as Team Manager of Additive Minds Metal. Schürg oversees customer consulting for Metal Laser Powder Bed Fusion, facilitating projects from concept to production. Prior to this role, Schürg was employed at Sogeti Deutschland GmbH from April 2013 to October 2017 as Team Leader in R&D and Additive Manufacturing, leading a team of 20 engineers and managing projects across various sectors, including aerospace and automotive. Additionally, experience as Senior Stress Engineer R&D involved additive manufacturing processes and numerical simulation. Schürg's academic foundation includes a Dr.-Ing. in Computational Mechanics and a Dipl. Ing. from Technische Universität Darmstadt, where doctoral research focused on nonlinear composite finite shell elements.
