Joanne Lockwood

Joanne Lockwood is a Senior Geoscientist at Epiroc since June 2022, specializing in building machine learning models for the FastGrade downhole geochemical spectroscopy tool in the mining sector. Concurrently, since April 2020, Joanne serves as Family CFO and Early Years Carer. Previous roles include Associate Lecturer at the University of Derby, teaching Borehole Logging and Petrophysics, and Geoscience Researcher at Weatherford. Joanne's early career involved positions as a Geology Technician at the University of Leicester, Post-doctoral Researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison focusing on well-log interpretation, and PhD Student at the University of Leicester, where research was centered on petrophysical interpretation of hydrocarbon reservoirs. Educational credentials include a PhD and MGeol in Geology from the University of Leicester.
