Rafael Soares

Rafael Soares is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and operations within the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as a Business Owner at EngiMindsUnite since February 2025 and holding the position of Principal Engineer for Operations and Maintenance at Equinor since August 2022, Rafael provides critical support for various production units and enhances the reliability of compressors, pumps, and turbines. Previous roles include Assets Integrity Engineer at SBM Offshore, Mechanical Engineer at Bureau Veritas Brazil, and Mechanical Engineer at Intertechne, where Rafael was involved in technical support, failure analysis, and monitoring systems for rotating equipment. Educationally, Rafael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cefet/RJ and is pursuing a Postgraduate Degree in Maintenance Engineering at the Polytechnic School of UFRJ, complemented by an exchange at the University of Ottawa.
