Stephen MacKinnon

Stephen MacKinnon is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector. Currently serving as Senior Engineer for WTG Structures at Equinor since March 2022, MacKinnon previously held the position of Offshore Structural Engineer at RWE Renewables from October 2015 to March 2022, specializing in wind turbine generator foundations. Prior roles include Mechanical Engineer at Senergy Energy Services and Industrial Placement at Xodus Group Ltd. Additionally, MacKinnon gained experience as an Assistant to Structures and Installation Manager at EDP Renováveis and as a Year in Industry Student at Thorn Lighting. Stephen MacKinnon holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering with Renewable Energy from The University of Edinburgh, obtained between 2008 and 2013.
