Steve White

Steve White has over 39 years of experience in the utility industry, currently serving as the Director of IT Operations at ERCOT since March 2004. In this role, Steve manages teams responsible for critical systems such as the Energy Management System and Grid Operations Control Room. Prior to joining ERCOT, Steve worked at TXU Electric Delivery from May 1976 to March 2004, where responsibilities included establishing the EMS Control Center and providing SCADA support. Steve began their career with Dallas Power & Light, now Oncor Energy, contributing to the establishment of various control centers and EMS upgrades in Transmission, Distribution, and Generation Protection & Control.
