Rich Cooke

Rich Cooke is an experienced spatial planner with a career spanning over three decades in public sector planning. Currently serving as Principal Spatial Planner at Essex County Council since August 2016, Rich previously held the position of Corporate Manager for Spatial Planning Policy at Babergh & Mid Suffolk District Councils from June 2012 to May 2016. Earlier roles included Corporate Manager for Spatial Planning Policy at Babergh District Council and Principal Planner at Suffolk Coastal District Council. Rich's career began at Hertsmere Borough Council, where responsibilities included development plans and community regeneration. Rich holds a Bachelor of Town Planning from the University of the West of England and an undergraduate degree in Planning from Oxford Brookes University.
