Shunji Watanabe

Shunji Watanabe is a seasoned HR professional with extensive experience in various industries, currently serving as the Director, HRBP at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. since December 2019, overseeing HR operations at the Shimotsuma Plant. Watanabe has a robust background in plant HR business partnering, office services, and project management, particularly in setting up new plants and expanding existing teams. Prior to El APSC G. K, Watanabe held several senior management roles at Nissan Motor Corporation, managing global HR initiatives and serving as Chief of Staff to the SVP of HR. Watanabe's earlier career includes HR development and training leadership at Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation and content creation at Fox International Channels. Watanabe holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Sophia University.
