Dan Murphy has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Dan currently serves as the VP of Engineering at ESW, where they lead a team of 250 engineers in building capabilities to support global cross border e-commerce. Prior to this, they worked as the CTO R&D Engineering at Wynshop, where they led the development of an event driven microservices architecture deployed on the Google cloud. Before that, they held various roles at MyWebGrocer, including CTO and Senior Vice President of Research and Development, where they led the development of a scalable eCommerce platform. Dan also has experience as the Chief Technology Officer at Buy4Now, where they played a key role in restructuring the company and launching eCommerce solutions. Earlier in their career, they worked at Enterprise Ireland, KPMG, Kuwait Investment Authority, Apple Computer, and Blackbird Technologies, where they gained experience in application development, database consulting, and software development for various industries.

Dan Murphy earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Limerick in 1986. Dan then pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Software Engineering from the same university, completing their studies in 1988. In 1991, Dan attended the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants to obtain a Certificate in Diploma of Accounting and Finance. Dan completed their studies in Financial Analysis in 1992.
