Sabah Kasmi

Sabah Kasmi is a Senior Scientist at etherna, specializing in mRNA formulation, with a focus on the design, optimization, and evaluation of novel RNA delivery platforms, particularly lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). In this role, Sabah oversees formulation optimization, supervises research assistants, and contributes to the company's patent portfolio by generating intellectual property related to ionizable lipids. As a Project Leader, Sabah manages early-stage discovery and external collaboration projects while presenting research findings at various meetings. Previously held positions include VLAIO innovation mandate holder in collaboration with Ghent University and postdoctoral researcher at Ghent University. Sabah obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ghent University in 2020, along with multiple master's degrees in Industrial Pharmacy and Drug Development, and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
