Paco Bahena

Paco Bahena is a Senior Data Engineer at Etsy since October 2020, recognized for optimizing Spark pipelines in Scala, resulting in annual cost savings of $500,000. Prior to Etsy, Paco held the position of Cloud Architect at delt.ai, providing consulting on data warehousing and cloud best practices. At Klustera, from June 2016 to March 2020, Paco designed a Lambda architecture for high-volume data ingestion in AWS and contributed to cloud infrastructure design across AWS and Google Cloud. As Lead Engineer at YaPasé, Paco managed the software infrastructure for a learning management system serving over 10,000 users. Paco began the career as a Data Analyst intern at Descifra, developing machine learning models for retail analytics. Paco holds a Master's degree in Data Science and a degree in Data Processing from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
