Daniel Achim

Daniel Achim is a highly experienced technical professional with a diverse background in support and management roles across various companies. Currently working at eu-LISA as a 2nd level support specialist since September 2021, Daniel previously served as a Technical Team Lead for the Managed Services team at BearingPoint, where responsibilities included ticket handling, hardware and software installation, and preventive maintenance within Linux and Oracle environments. Prior to that, Daniel held positions at ManpowerGroup Romania as a Telecommunications Engineer and at Darwin Recruitment as a Technical Project Manager, focusing on project planning and support for major clients. Earlier career roles at SC Deltatel SRL involved managing mobile prepaid projects and directly installing telecom systems across multiple regions. Daniel holds a degree from Universitatea „Politehnica” din Timișoara and has accumulated over 15 years of technical support and project management expertise.

eu-LISA

This is the official company page for the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA). eu-LISA was established to manage large-scale information systems in the area of freedom, security and justice. It fulfils the operational management tasks for Eurodac, the Schengen Information System (SIS II) and the Visa Information System (VIS). The Agency thus supports the implementation of the EU's border management, asylum and migration policies. eu-LISA has also been entrusted with the preparation, development and operational management of the European Entry-Exit System (EES), the European Travel Information and Authorisation Systems (ETIAS) as well as the European Criminal Records Information System - Third Country Nationals (ECRIS-TCN) and ensure that both these and the already existing systems are interoperable. eu-LISA is responsible for keeping all the IT systems under its control permanently functional in order to allow continuous and uninterrupted exchange of data between national authorities.
