Sascha Ceylan has extensive experience in sustainability, risk, compliance, and procurement, currently serving as the Head of Sustainability, Risk & Compliance and Director of Portfolio Development for Gut Health Solutions at Evonik since January 2013. Additional roles at Evonik include Head of Program Management and Project Manager for Innovation. Sascha is also a TfS Coordinator for TOGETHER FOR SUSTAINABILITY AISBL since October 2021. Prior to these roles, Sascha was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University, focusing on natural product research for anticancer drugs. Educational qualifications include a Dr. rer. nat. in Organic Chemistry from Leibniz Universität Hannover, achieved in 2011, and a Diplom in Chemistry from the same institution in 2007, along with a brief tenure at Imperial College London in 2006.
