Jeff Rule has over 30 years of experience in the technology industry. Jeff began their career in 1986 as a Software Engineer at Quorum Systems. Jeff then moved on to Apple Computer in 1990 as a Senior Database Analyst. In 1996, they joined tinygreenfrog consulting as a Senior DBA, and then in 1997, they became a Senior Database Administrator at Doubletwist. In 1998, they were promoted to Database Technology Group Manager at Doubletwist, Inc. In 2002, they returned to tinygreenfrog consulting as a Senior DBA and in 2003, they joined Lawerence Berkeley Labs, Joint Genome Institute as a Senior DBA. In 2004, they began working at IBM DemandTec Solutions as a Distinguished Engineer, Database Architect, and Senior Database Administrator, where they implemented and deployed database infrastructure of a demand based pricing system for large consumer goods companies delivered with a SaaS model. In 2012, they moved to Fabric Genomics as the Director of Database Engineering.

Jeff Rule attended Nesco High School in Zearing, IA from 1969 to 1981, where they received their High School Diploma. Jeff then studied Computer Science from 1981 to 1985.
