Nick Smailes has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Prior to their roles in the aforementioned companies, Nick was the Managing Director of SETsquared Partnership from January 2000 to July 2007. As a co-founder and MD, they played a pivotal role in establishing this global-leading university technology incubator and technology transfer organization. During their time, they successfully raised over £100 million in funding.

Before their role at SETsquared Partnership, Nick worked as a Partner at Pilotbird Ventures from January 1995 to February 1999.
