Rachel Carr has extensive experience in food redistribution and customer service, currently serving as a Senior Network Partnerships Manager at FareShare UK since August 2016, where previous roles included Network Development Manager and Regional Food Officer for Scotland. Prior to FareShare, Rachel worked at Cyrenians as a FareShare FoodCloud Regional Assistant and has a background in customer service from Sainsbury's, where roles included Customer Service Assistant and Bakery Assistant. Rachel's educational background includes a Master of Science in Public Health Nutrition from Queen Margaret University and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Northumbria University.

FareShare is the UK's largest food redistribution charity, fighting hunger and food waste. We redistribute good food that would otherwise go to waste, to frontline charities and community groups that support vulnerable people in over 1,500 towns and cities, providing food for over 36.7 million meals a year and supporting 772,000 people every week. For nearly 25 years, FareShare has been working with the food industry to identify in date, surplus food that can be redistributed to charities to feed people in need. By ensuring good food is not wasted, we turn an environmental problem into a social solution. FareShare redistributes food to more than 9,653 charities and community groups including homeless shelters, children’s breakfast clubs and domestic violence refuges, so they can provide nutritious meals alongside life-changing support.
