Ingrid Perbo is currently serving as a Human Rights Officer at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, focusing on reporting in the East and Horn of Africa. Ingrid's professional background includes roles as a Dialogue and Peace Mediation & Youth, Peace and Security Officer at FBA, concentrating on young people's involvement in Somalia’s democratization processes, and previously as a Human Rights Investigator addressing human rights violations in Tigray, Ethiopia. Ingrid has also worked as an Associate Human Rights Officer, emphasizing human rights monitoring in the region. In addition to experience at the Embassy of Sweden and several organizations related to youth and community engagement, Ingrid holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from Uppsala University and a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies from the University of Gothenburg.

FBA (Folke Bernadotte Academy)
The Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) is the Swedish government agency for peace, security and development. FBA supports international peace operations and international development cooperation. The agency conducts training, research and method development in order to strengthen peacebuilding and statebuilding in conflict and post-conflict countries. We also recruit civilian personnel and expertise for peace operations and election observation missions led by the EU, UN and OSCE. The agency is named after Count Folke Bernadotte, the first UN mediator. Here on Linkedin we share the latest news from our activities.
