Micaela Giuhat is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology and telecommunications. Currently serving as Director of Emerging Technologies, Policy & External Engagements at Microsoft since August 2020, Micaela also co-chairs working group 3 of CISRIC VIII at the Federal Communications Commission, focusing on the use of virtualization technology to enhance 5G networks. Additionally, Micaela holds leadership roles as the Chair of the Next G Alliance Policy Committee and Vice-Chair of the Green G Working Group. Previous positions include VP Product Management Cloud and VP Market Strategy at Metaswitch Networks, Sr Director Solutions at BroadSoft, and various executive roles at Genband, Nortel, and other companies. Micaela holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.
