July Blalack, PhD, currently serves as an Arabic Instructor at Middlebury College and as an Adjunct Professor of Arabic Studies at Santa Clara University. Since November 2021, July has also been the Language Immersion Activities Coordinator at Concordia Language Villages. Previously, July was a MENA Expert at the European Research Council, conducting independent and collaborative research on linguistic, political, and cultural exchanges between North Africa and Europe. Additionally, July has experience as an Arabic Instructor in an online capacity at The Lauder Institute - University of Pennsylvania and as a Course Tutor at The University of Edinburgh. July holds a PhD in Humanities/Humanistic Studies from SOAS University of London, a Master's degree in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language from Middlebury Language Schools, and a Master's degree in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia.
