Washington began legal career as an Assistant Prosecutor for Jackson County, representing the State of Missouri and managing a substantial caseload of serious criminal cases. Additional experience includes serving as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney at the United States Attorney's Office, focusing on drug and gun-related offenses, and as an Assistant District Attorney at the East Baton Rouge District Attorney's Office, where Washington handled a significant number of cases. Washington earned a Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Jackson State University.
