Tim Murphy

Director of Secondary School Counseling at FESSENDEN SCHOOL

Tim Murphy came to Fessenden in 2007 after seven years at his alma mater, The Williston Northampton School, where he served as assistant director of annual giving and young alumni outreach for one year and assistant director of admissions for six years. After graduating from Williston in 1996, Tim earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Boston College and his master’s in liberal studies with a concentration in religion and politics from Dartmouth College. For the past twenty summers, Tim has maintained a strong association with YMCA Camp Becket in the Berkshires, serving as a trustee of the Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA from 2002 to 2008, and the staff development director at Camp Becket from 2011 to 2014. Since 2013, he has also served on the board of advisors of the Welles Remy Crowther Charitable Trust. Aside from his leadership of the placement office at Fessenden, Tim is also co-dean of the ninth grade, a dorm parent in Hart House, a lacrosse coach, and a faculty advisor.
