Tom Clegg has a diverse work experience in the field of hydropower engineering. Tom started their career as an Engineering Trainee at Hydroplan UK in 2010. From there, they moved to Gilbert Gilkes and Gordon Ltd, where they worked as a Project Engineer and later became a Senior Engineer specializing in hydro projects. In 2018, they joined Fichtner Consulting Engineers Ltd as an Instrumentation and Control Engineer and Hydropower Specialist. Tom has recently been promoted to the role of Head of Hydropower UK&I. Tom has a strong background in hydropower engineering and a proven track record in the industry.
Tom Clegg earned a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with Renewable Energy (MEng (Hons)) from The University of Edinburgh. Tom attended the university from 2006 to 2011. In addition to their academic qualifications, Tom obtained certifications as a Functional Safety Engineer (SIS) from TÜV Rheinland Group in May 2021 and as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) from the Engineering Council in September 2015.
