Jason Jabbour

Jason Jabbour is currently a Research Intern at Field AI since May 2025, focusing on VLA Model Safety. Prior to this, Jason was a PhD Candidate in Machine Learning and Robotics at Harvard University from September 2022 to July 2025, collaborating with Intel and Google on projects related to robotic systems and reinforcement learning benchmarks. Jason also interned at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in mid-2022, where a prototype reinforcement learning system was designed to secure network traffic on US Navy ships. Earlier research experience includes work at Harvard University on quadruped robot locomotion using imitation learning and TinyML, and contributions to a recommender system for Alzheimer's caregivers while at the University of Virginia. Jason's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and ongoing PhD studies at Harvard University.
