Matthew Buskard

Matt Buskard is a seasoned financial services leader with over 22 years of industry experience, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Sr. Director of Enterprise Risk Management at Fifth Third Bank. He oversees Third Party Risk Management and Corporate Insurance, along with second-line oversight of key operational areas including Procurement, Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Human Capital, and Physical Security.

Matt is known for strategic leadership and cross-functional collaboration, and has a proven track record in managing complex vendor relationships, driving organizational change, and ensuring regulatory compliance across domestic and international operations. His prior roles include leading centralized third party risk processes and managing critical vendor oversight within the Consumer Bank division.

Matt holds multiple industry certifications, including CTPRP, CRVPM Level V, and CVMPRA. He actively contributes to ProSight Financial Association, serving on its Third Party Risk Management steering committee, Operational Risk Council, and as co-chair of the Advanced Operational Risk Group for Third Party Risk Management.
