Christopher Engel

Christopher Engel has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology and security. Christopher is currently employed as a Senior Information Security Consultant at First Information Technology Services, Inc. Prior to this, they worked at Nu-Age Managed Services as a SOC Manager, where they designed and led the company's Managed Security Services Program. Christopher was responsible for tasks such as staffing, selection of tools and vendors, and the implementation of security services. Before that, Christopher served as the Security & Infrastructure Manager at Conxeo, where they managed IT operations and maintained public-facing web applications for Fortune 1000 clients. Christopher has also worked as a Consultant for various businesses, providing support for projects such as Y2K conversions and system integrations. In their earlier career, Christopher served as the Network Manager for Eder Associates and as the Data Records Manager for FIAF. Christopher began their career as a System Administrator at INDUSTRIAL POLYMERS & CHEMICALS, INC., where they established a computer system for production floor operations.

Christopher Engel obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in History from Macalester College, where they studied from 1985 to 1989. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including being an InsightIDR Certified Specialist from Rapid7, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², and being a PSE from Netskope. Christopher has also achieved the Qualys Certified Specialist - Vulnerability Management certification from Qualys.
