Evan Cottingham

Evan Cottingham has gained considerable work experience in the field of information security. Evan began their career as an Information Security Intern at Costco Wholesale in 2016. Evan later joined First Information Technology Services, Inc as an Information Security Consultant from June 2017 to December 2019. Evan then worked at Leviathan Security Group as an Associate Security Program Manager from December 2019 to March 2020. Evan Cottingham then joined OneLogin as a Security Log Analyst from March 2020 to September 2021. Evan returned to First Information Technology Services, Inc as a Senior Information Security Consultant in September 2021 and held the position until April 2022. From April 2022 to February 2023, Evan Cottingham worked at Microsoft as a Program Manager 2. Evan is currently working as a Senior Information Security Consultant at First Information Technology Services, Inc, starting in March 2023.

Evan Cottingham completed their education at the University of Washington. From 2015 to 2017, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity at the University of Washington Information School. Concurrently, from 2012 to 2017, Evan also studied Informatics with a focus on Information Assurance and Cyber Security at the University of Washington.

To complement their education, Evan Cottingham obtained additional certifications. In April 2018, they obtained the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA. Subsequently, in January 2021, they earned the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification from GIAC Certifications.
