Richard Sarkis is a seasoned software engineer and educator with extensive experience in programming, system administration, and software architecture across multiple organizations. Currently a Staff Engineer at Flashpoint since September 2020, Richard previously served as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Rochester for over two decades, teaching programming and data structures. Richard's expertise includes leading software development for the LZ Dark Matter Experiment and being a Senior Software Engineer at SkuTek Instrumentation, focusing on DAQ hardware. Earlier roles included Software Architect and Programmer at Fermilab and Systems Administrator at MLS Online. Richard holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology and dual Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Physics/Astronomy from the University of Rochester.
