Marc Millstone

Marc Millstone is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in developing and managing advanced technology platforms. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at Flexport since December 2023, Marc previously held the position of Director of Engineering for Service, ML, and Data Platforms at Convoy Inc from July 2022 to December 2023. At the Allen Institute for AI, Marc founded and managed Beaker, successfully scaling it from a prototype to a critical institute-wide platform. Other notable roles include Manager of Aristo Engineering, Engineer/Product Development Lead at Palantir Technologies, and Engineering Team Lead/Manager at Socrata, where Marc was instrumental in creating the Analytics and Machine Learning team and developing the GovStat platform. Marc's career began as a Research Staff Member at IBM and a Graduate Researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Marc holds a PhD in Computer Science from New York University and a BSE in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
