Sarah Tessier

Sarah Tessier has over 15 years of professional experience in the areas of Human Resources, Operations, and Marketing. Sarah began their career in 2007 as a Restaurant Manager for The Noodle Box Canada, where they were responsible for the Douglas St. location in Victoria. In 2012, they became a Board Member for The Tiffin Project, a Vancouver-based NPO involving re-usable containers for takeout transactions. In 2016, they joined Whole Foods Market as a Marketing and Community Relations Liaison, where they were responsible for brand management, process management, operational marketing execution, community relations, advertising execution, retail merchandising, and social media engagement. In 2019, Sarah joined Abeego | Keep Food Alive as a Human Resource Consultant, People Operations Manager, Operations Lead, and Human Resource and Operations Administrator. In 2022, they began working as a Human Resources Manager at Harbour City Kitchens and a People and Operations Coordinator at Float.com.

Sarah Tessier has a diverse education history. Sarah began their studies in 2012 at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Management Certificate in Human Resource Management. In 2014, they attended BCIT School of Business + Media to study Business Administration and Management, General. In 2015, they obtained Occupation First Aid Level 1 certification from Healthsafe First Aid Training. In 2016, they obtained WSET level 1 certification from Fine Vintage LTD and Beer certification from Cicerone Beer Server. Sarah then attended Camosun College from 2017 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin & Human Resources and Business Management, as well as an Advanced Diploma in HR Managment. In 2020, they began their Master of Professional Communication degree at Royal Roads University, which they are currently pursuing. Sarah Tessier has also obtained a Certificate of Attendance from the Work Wellness Institute in 2021, and is a CPHR Candidate with CPHR BC & Yukon since October 2020.
