Sandra Alonso - Duran

Sandra Alonso - Duran, MBA, is an accomplished financial leader with extensive experience in athletics and hospitality management. Currently serving as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Finance and Business Administration at Florida International University since May 2012, Sandra oversees all financial activities and human resources within the Athletics Department. Previous roles include Director of Finance and Accounting and Assistant Controller for Payment Services at FIU, where responsibilities encompassed budget oversight, strategic planning, and financial management. Prior to FIU, Sandra held senior finance positions at The Ritz Carlton, South Beach, and Marriott International, developing strong expertise in hotel operations, financial reporting, and departmental budget management. Sandra holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Florida International University and a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
