Samantha Cook has a diverse work experience in academia, industry, and research. Samantha started their career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Columbia University in 2004, where they worked until 2005. Following that, they worked as a Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2006 and again in 2012. In between these roles, they joined Google as a Statistician in 2007, where they worked until 2011. Samantha then worked as a Visiting Professor at Columbia University from 2011 to 2012. Currently, Samantha is the Chief Scientist at Financial Network Analytics, a position they have held since 2012.
Samantha Cook earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics and Mathematics from the University of Michigan from 1995 to 1999. Samantha then pursued a PhD in Statistics at Harvard University, completing their studies from 1999 to 2004. Additionally, Samantha obtained a Master's degree in Translation Studies from Universitat Pompeu Fabra between 2012 and 2015.
