Andrea Vera is currently the Director of Natural Climate Solutions at FORLIANCE. Andrea has extensive experience in the field, having worked on various projects related to AFOLU and biochar under international standards such as Verra and Gold Standard. Andrea has represented FORLIANCE at climate events like COP26 as a speaker on blue carbon and the voluntary carbon market. Prior to their current role, Andrea worked at South Pole, Knight Piésold Consulting, Ministerio del Ambiente del Perú, and various other organizations, gaining valuable experience in forestry and environmental management. Andrea holds a Master's degree in Tropical Forestry, a Diploma of Environmental Management, and a degree in Forestry Engineering.
