Jakob Frydendal Gercke

Jakob Frydendal Gercke is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a strong background in product management and security research. Since February 2012, Jakob has served as the WAF Product Manager and Distinguished Security Researcher at Fortra, concurrently holding roles at Alert Logic as Distinguished Security Researcher, Senior Principal Engineer, and Product Manager, where responsibilities include leading product direction for the Web Security Manager and Web Application Firewall product line. Prior to Alert Logic, Jakob was the CEO and co-founder of Armorlogic, where Jakob co-created the Profense Web Application Firewall and designed its learning engine and attack signatures. Earlier in the career, Jakob worked at Deloitte Danmark as a Manager in Enterprise Risk Services, specializing in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. Jakob's academic background includes studies at Roskilde University from 1992 to 1996.
