Torsten Siebert is a distinguished physicist with extensive experience in quantum technologies and applied optics. Currently a Visiting Fellow at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering since 2017, Siebert also serves as Chief Scientific Advisor and Programme Manager for Quantum Technologies at Fraunhofer Headquarters. Prior roles include Senior Scientist at the MAX BORN INSTITUTE for Nonlinear Optics and Short Pulse Spectroscopy from 2013 to 2016 and Senior Scientist in R&D at PicoQuant from 2011 to 2012. Siebert holds a Habilitation and serves as a Lecturer in Physics from Freie Universität Berlin, alongside a notable academic background that includes postdoctoral research at renowned institutions and a PhD earned with summa cum laude honors from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg.
