Mark Scott

Mark Scott is an accomplished academic and technology leader with extensive experience in education and various leadership roles. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Freed-Hardeman University since June 2018, Mark previously held the position of Vice President of Innovation & Technology and CTO at the same institution from 2001 to December 2013, where responsibilities included leading technology and innovation initiatives. Prior to this, Mark was the CIO at Memphis Technology Associates, LLC, focusing on internet and network security and digital forensics from 1996 to 2005. Additionally, Mark served as Director of MIS/CIO at St. Joseph Hospital in Memphis, TN, and as Director of MIS at Alverno Information Services from 1991 to 1997. Mark holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications and Information Systems Management from Christian Brothers University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Information Technology Management at Capella University.
