Freedom from Torture
Sile Reynolds is an experienced advocate in asylum and refugee policy with a focus on improving legal protections for torture survivors in the UK. Currently serving as the Head of Asylum Advocacy at Freedom from Torture since May 2015, Sile provides strategic leadership and leverages evidence from clinical services to influence policy. Previous roles include Lead Asylum Policy Advisor at Freedom from Torture, Resettlement Consultant at UNHCR, and Policy and Information Manager at Refugee Action, among others, where Sile contributed significantly to policy development regarding asylum seekers and refugees. Sile holds a BA in French Studies from the University of Nottingham and has engaged in various research projects aimed at enhancing the treatment and support of refugees in the UK.
