Sungjoon Moon

Sungjoon Moon has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Sungjoon started their career at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as a Teaching Assistant for various computer science courses. Sungjoon then worked at CA Technologies for 16 years, where they served as a Manager and Principal Software Engineer. In this role, they led a team, implemented Scrum methodology, and automated DevOps processes. Since 2016, Sungjoon has been working at FreeWheel, initially as a Lead Software Engineer, then as a Principal Software Engineer, and currently as a Director of Software Engineering. In these positions, they focused on guiding engineering teams in automation, implementing CICD systems, and leveraging cloud technologies for enhanced efficiency. Sungjoon also oversaw budget allocation and played a key role in creating comprehensive observability and monitoring solutions. Throughout their career, Sungjoon has consistently demonstrated a strong focus on engineering productivity and automation.

Sungjoon Moon obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Systems Engineering & Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1996 to 2000. Later, from 2003 to 2007, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from the same institution. Additionally, Sungjoon Moon has obtained certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2018 and November 2021, as well as the Certified ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance in May 2011.
