Paul Benda

Paul Benda is an accomplished leader in cybersecurity and risk management within the financial services industry, currently serving as Vice Chair of the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council since August 2022 and holding a board member position at the Cyber Risk Institute since July 2022. With extensive experience, Paul has also been Executive Vice President of Risk Fraud and Cybersecurity at the American Bankers Association since April 2018, where key initiatives in security practices are led. Paul’s previous roles include significant positions at Sheltered Harbor, Global Security and Innovative Strategies, and the Department of Homeland Security, highlighting a robust background in both private and government sectors in emergency management, program development, and security system integration. Educational credentials include a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
