Hannes Swiegers

Hannes Swiegers, Executive MBA, is an experienced leader in marine asset integrity and remote operations, currently serving as Regional Business Line Director for Marine Asset Integrity in the Middle East and India at Fugro since September 2017. Hannes has held multiple significant roles at Fugro, including Director of IRM Services and Global Director of Remote Operations & Support Services, where responsibilities included developing subsea inspection solutions and pioneering remote operations technologies. Additionally, Hannes serves as Global Program Director for Innovation Implementation and as Vice-chairman for the Middle East & India Committee of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA). Hannes's career began at the South African Navy Hydrographic Office and includes various roles at companies such as Shell Global Solutions and Fugro Survey BV. Education includes an Executive MBA from TIAS School for Business and Society and a National Diploma in Cartography and Land Survey from Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
