John Atkinson has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. In their most recent position as the Chief Information Security Officer at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies, they aligned policies and technology to manage security risks and ensure regulatory compliance. As the Senior Director of IT, they led multiple teams and played a key role in developing IT strategies for FDBK. At Venator Materials Plc, they served as the IT Transformation and Innovation Manager, and at Lucite International, they were the Manufacturing Applications Manager. Prior to that, they held various IT management roles at Lotte Chemical UK Ltd, North Yorkshire County Council, Artenius, AdvanSA/DuPontSA, and DuPont. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as an Instrument Technician, developing skills in communication, teamwork, fault finding, and following safety procedures.
John Atkinson earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Studies from Teesside University, which they attended from 1999 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Electrical Engineering from the same institution, from 1996 to 1999.
