Eric Witherell

Eric Witherell is a seasoned information security professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Chief Information Security Officer at Catholic Health since March 2022, Eric previously held similar positions at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York and Centene Corporation. Expertise includes the establishment and management of Security Operations Centers, operationalizing security tools, and building comprehensive security programs. Eric has also contributed to the Information Systems Security Association as Communications Manager for the Buffalo Niagara Chapter. Prior roles include Director of IT at WNED and various positions at Osmose Holdings, where foundational work was done in network security and efficiency optimization. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Buffalo State University and the Rochester Institute of Technology.
