Julia Kraemer is a Senior Principal Scientist at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies since September 2017, where responsibilities include leading multiple USP microbial projects from pre-clinical to Phase III stages and overseeing their transfer to GMP manufacturing. Prior to this role, Julia served as a Senior Research Scientist, focusing on microbial USP. At the University of Birmingham from November 2012 to August 2017, Julia held positions as a Research Associate, where analysis of high-throughput screening data was conducted for collaborator Roche, a Doctoral Researcher, exploring novel methods for biotherapeutic release, and a Teaching Associate, instructing undergraduate students. Julia's research journey also includes a PhD focused on periplasmic release techniques at the University of Birmingham and earlier training in BioProcess Engineering at Technische Universität Dresden, culminating in a Dipl.-Ing. degree. Additional experience includes volunteer work with Leonard Cheshire Disability.
