Rafał Bachorz

Rafał Bachorz has a broad range of work experience, starting in 2003 as a Summer visitor at the Molecular Interactions & Transformations Group at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where they focused on molecular modeling of DNA. In 2004, they returned to the same laboratory as a Post-master. From 2007 to 2008, Bachorz served as a PhD student and teaching assistant at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, specializing in the development and application of quantum chemical calculations. Following this, they worked as a Service Engineer and Sales representative at Polygen Sp. z o.o., focusing on chromatography devices. From 2011 to 2015, Bachorz transitioned to PSI Polska Sp. z o.o., where they held multiple roles, including Competence Center Manager and Analyst. Rafał'sresponsibilities included gathering customer needs, designing relevant solutions, delegating tasks, and developing project-specific functionalities. In 2015, Bachorz became the Head of the Molecular Modeling Laboratory at the Institute of Medical Biology, Polish Academy of Sciences. Currently, Bachorz works at Simulations Plus, Inc. as a Senior Cheminformatics Scientist and subsequently as a Principal Scientist.

Rafał Bachorz earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics from Uniwersytet im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu in 2004, followed by a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Chemistry from the same university in 2004. Rafał then pursued a doctorate in theoretical chemistry at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 2005 to 2008.
