Orla Vesey has extensive experience in biopharmaceutical research and development, currently serving as Program Design Manager at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies since March 2016. In this role, responsibilities include overseeing high-grade downstream processes for biotherapeutic protein purification, along with line and lab management. Previous positions include Principal Scientist and Senior Research Scientist, focusing on developing purification processes involving multiple chromatography and filtration steps. Earlier experience as a Research Assistant at University College Dublin involved investigating protein expression and developing a novel affinity tag system for protein purification. Orla holds a Master of Research in Biotechnology from University College Dublin and a Bachelor's Degree in Biomolecular Science from Technological University Dublin, complemented by Erasmus studies in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Gothenburg.
