Gateway Development Commission (GDC)
Robert Hickman currently serves as the Chief Administrative Officer at Gateway Development Commission (GDC). Prior to this role, Robert held positions at the United States Senate as the Transportation Counsel to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer. Robert also worked in various legislative roles at the U.S. House of Representatives. Robert has a Juris Doctor (JD) from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History from The College of New Jersey.
Gateway Development Commission (GDC)
The Gateway Program is the most urgent infrastructure program in the country – a comprehensive rail investment program that will improve commuter and intercity services, add needed resiliency and create new capacity for the busiest section of the Northeast Corridor (NEC). The NEC is the most heavily used passenger rail line in the country hosting more than 2,200 train movements and 800,000 passenger trips daily. The Gateway Development Commission (GDC) is a single-purpose bi-State agency with Board members representing Amtrak and the States of New York and New Jersey. GDC is the project sponsor for the Hudson Tunnel Project.
