Crystal Sumner

Crystal Sumner has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Crystal most recently worked at Marqeta starting in 2023 as their Chief Legal Officer. Prior to that, they were at Blend from 2016 to 2023, where they started as the Head of Legal, Compliance and Risk, Corporate Secretary. At Blend, Crystal built and scaled the legal function and took on additional responsibilities, including vendor management and information security. Crystal also led cross-functional teams focused on revenue growth.

Before Blend, Crystal worked at Eventbrite from 2014 to 2016 as a Product and Regulatory Counsel. Prior to that, they were an Enforcement Attorney at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from 2011 to 2014.
