Austin Cobert

Austin Cobert is an experienced Lead Mechanical Design Engineer at GE Aviation since April 2015, specializing in high-speed rotating components for aircraft power generation systems and coordinating electromagnetic and mechanical analysis for prototype designs. Prior to this role, Cobert was a Member of Technical Staff in Mechanical Engineering at Sandia National Laboratories from June 2010 to January 2015, where responsibilities included designing electromechanical components for nuclear weapon safety systems and managing projects throughout the product life cycle. Cobert holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, obtained in 2009, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, completed in 2007.
