Joel Ottosson

Joel Ottosson is a Scientific Software Developer at Genedata since March 2022. Previously, Joel served as a Master Thesis Student at EMBL, focusing on image augmentation effects in microscopy and implementing advanced 3D instance segmentation models. As a Research Assistant at Lunds universitet, Joel developed interactive applications for visualizing medical substances and created machine learning tools for predicting their combined effects. Joel has also held leadership roles, including Head of Corporate Relations for F-sektionen at Lunds Tekniska Högskola and Board Director for the Young Professionals Committee at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce Taipei. Joel gained practical experience through multiple internships at Scania Group and has a Master's degree in Teknisk fysik from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University, supplemented by international education experiences at National Taiwan University and Linköping University.
