Peter M.U. Ung is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in pharmacology and medicinal chemistry. Currently serving as a Principal Scientist at Genentech since April 2020, Peter previously worked as a Research Scientist at Yale University's Department of Pharmacology, focusing on the dynamics and interactions of FGFs and Klotho proteins. Peter has held roles as a Senior Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, where a Ph.D. and M.S. in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry were obtained. Earlier research experience includes positions at UC San Diego, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and other educational institutions, leading to a strong foundation in pharmacological research.
