Tammy Tam

Tammy Tam is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the medical device industry. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer and Team Lead at Genentech since May 2017, Tammy leads the device team for the Port Delivery System, an implantable combination ocular medical device for treating neovascular age-related macular degeneration. Previous roles include Consultant at Medical Device Engineering & Program Management Consulting, where expertise in product development processes and regulatory submissions was provided, and Product Development Director at Lombard Medical Technologies, overseeing device testing and manufacturing transfer post-acquisition. Earlier experience includes Sr. R&D Manager at Altura Medical, where a disruptive AAA stent graft system was developed, and various engineering roles at Guided Delivery Systems and Medtronic Vascular, focusing on advanced catheter systems and endovascular stent grafts. Tammy holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Occidental College.
