Mike Sannella

Mike Sannella serves as a City Council Member for the City of San Marcos, CA, since December 2022 and holds the position of Security Manager at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems as of July 2020. Previously, Mike was a Board Member for the Vallecitos Water District from January 2014 to December 2022, representing various communities including San Marcos, Carlsbad, and Lake San Marcos. Additionally, Mike held roles at LPL Financial as AVP of Corporate Real Estate and Corporate Security, and at General Atomics focusing on licensing, safety, nuclear compliance, and business continuity. Mike began a career in security management at Securitas Security Services USA, where responsibilities included leading a branch with a $12 million budget and over 250 employees. Mike’s academic background includes a BA in History and Political Science from California State University San Marcos.
